Matthew James, CPA/ABV, CFF, MAFF

Matthew James is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support at Smith, Stohlman, James & Gardere, P.A.’s Miami office. His practice focuses on high-net-worth marital dissolution matters, fraud examination, economic damages, and complex financial disputes.


Matt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Abilene Christian University, where he played collegiate baseball, and later received his Master of Accounting in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.


He currently serves on the advisory board of Kidside Miami and on the board and finance committee for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the University of Miami.
